2009 Horizon Report Recognizes Mobile as a Platform

One innovation area within the discussion of Mobiles in the 2009 Horizon Report is that mobile devices are transitioning from being just phones with browsers to becoming platforms that users can customize with their selection of applications.

There are more than 10,000 apps in the App Store and additional stores like the Android Market continue to come on line.

    I think the number of applications will grow significantly very soon as mobile phones become more sophisticated.
